Individuals interested in serving on ACTHA's board or committees should contact Gael@actha.org
ACTHA board members must be a resident unit owner of an association in good-standing with ACTHA. It is not necessary for one to be a board director on their own association board.
How to Become a Board Member
Volunteers are the life-blood of ACTHA. We urge members to become active in our growth and influence. The highest level of involvement is board membership. Our bylaws stipulate that board members must:
- Be a primary owner in a community association
- Attend quarterly board meetings
- Be actively involved in at least one ACTHA committee
- Attend ACTHA conferences
- Host an educational seminar
If you are an ACTHA member interested in serving on the ACTHA board of directors, please contact Gael Mennecke, Executive Director, at gael@actha.org
How to Serve on a Committee
ACTHA committees thrive on volunteers. Our committees are open to any interested individual whether living in an association or working in an industry serving community associations. The four ACTHA committees are:
- Legislation Reviews state, federal and selected local ordinances for their impact on associations from the perspective of a board member or unit owner. (Generally, committee members are asked to participate via email and need to be available to respond quickly to issues, so that ACTHA can provide input to the appropriate legislative body.)
- Education Develops community program ideas and topics for the seminars offered at our educational conferences.
- Membership/Networking Seeks to develop, at a grass roots level, information, innovative programs and tools to support a stated goal of many of our members: pursuing community networking opportunities
- Technology Develops new ways to use latest technology to improve ACTHA and it member associations
If you are interested in serving on any of ACTHA’s committees, please contact Gael Mennecke, Executive Director, at
