Dave Zimner, Sr. Vice-President of The Homeowner Association Banking Group at Harris, is please to announce the addition of Craig Finck as Vice President of their team.   His primary responsibility will be to focus on meeting the short and long term investment needs of association clients. Mr. Finck is the current President of his own homeowners association.  In addition, Diana Larson of the Homeowner Assocation Banking Group has been promoted to Relationship Manager and Asst. Vice President of their team.

Mark Youngberg,
President of AAA Painting Co., will be inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame on March 12. He is being recognized for his achievements and making a lasting impact on Chicago's business landscape.  Since it's founding in 1989, AAA has grown to the top one percent of the industry.  Being involved in the repaint market exclusively, many homeowner associations and managers look to Youngberg and the AAA staff to draft current and detailed specifications for their projects.  Says, Youngberg, "The life of an entrepreneur is a challenging one but the satisfaction that comes with seeing your business gorw and succeed is amazing."

Mark Waldman (
President) and Waldman Engineering Consultants, Inc. (WEC) opened its doors for business in the fall of 2007.  The firm offers over 20 years of combined engineering experience specializing in reserve studies, engineering transition studies and project specifications for the multi-family market. In additon, WEC provides both structural and moisture evaluations, as well as mechanical, electrical and plumbing evaluations. Mark comes from HBIS Engineering, a former division of LandAmerica Assessment Corporation, where he was employed since 1991, as well as WEC's newest engineer Greg Lason.

Terry Dixon
has joined Lieberman Management Services as their District Manager where she is responsible for the supervsion of five properties located in the Streeterville, Gold Coast and Lincoln Park areas.

David Sugar
and Samuel Levine of Arnstein & Lehr successfully represented an association in a dispute with a bank over the right to receive rents from tenants in possession of a unit. The association obtained an order granting possession of the unit, which was leased to tenants. The lender subsequently filed a mortgage foreclosure action and was appointed as a mortgage in possession with a right to collect the rents. The association filed a motion in the mortgage foreclosure action to remove the bank from possession of the unit.  This was based on the priorty of the assessment lien and the jurisdiction of the court in the foreclosure case to place the bank in possession of the unit as a result of the prior order granitng the association posession of the unit. The court agreed with the associaton and removed the bank from possession of the unit
