Seminars require a pre-registration of 15 for the seminar to be held, unless otherwise indicated. You may pre-register by emailing gael@actha.org. *Wed., February 29: Governance of an Association, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. in Oak Park.  Presenter: David Bendoff of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit.  This seminar will discuss definition of terms, governing documents & law, liability exposure and record keeping. 

 
Tues., March 6:  Collections, Foreclosures and Bankruptcies, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Partridge Hill Townhome Association Clubhouse, 700 Partridge Hill Dr. in Hoffman Estates.  Presenters:  Marshall Dickler of Dickler, Kahn, Slowikowski & Zavell, Ltd. & Patricia Keating of Exclusive Condominium Management.  This seminar will discuss the increase in foreclosures and delinquencies, their impact on associations and strategies Boards may adopt in dealing with this issue.  Pre-registration is required.  To register, email kevin@actha.org your name and Association.

*Wed., March 28: Meetings/Elections of an Association, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. in Oak Park.  Presenter: David Bendoff of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit.  This seminar will discuss elections, owner meetings, Open Meeting Act and committees. 
 
*Wed., April 11: Financial Aspects of an Association, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. in Oak Park.  Presenter: Mark Cantey of Mark Cantey Associates.  This seminar will discuss financial documents & statements, audits, taxes and budgeting.
 
*Wed., April 25: Physical Aspects of an Association, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.  Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. in Oak Park.  Presenter: Kami Farahmandpour of Building Technology Consultants.  This seminar will discuss maintenance, repair & replacement, planning for major improvements, capital asset programs and reserve studies.  
 
*Wed., May 9: Insurance/Risk Management of an Association, 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.  Oak Park Village Hall, 123 Madison St. in Oak Park.  Presenter: Barbara Wick of CARMIC, LLC.  This seminar will discuss risk process and application, risk management and tools and aspects of insurance needs.
